Sharm El-Sheikh Desalination Plant

Project Date: 2023

We are proud to announce our collaboration with the Metito-Orascom Joint Venture (JV) on the Sharm El Sheikh Desalination Plant project. This pivotal project aims to provide a sustainable water source for the growing needs of Sharm El Sheikh, leveraging advanced seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) technology.

The Sharm El Sheikh Desalination Plant will have an initial capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day, with the potential for expansion to 60,000 cubic meters per day. The project encompasses the design, construction, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art desalination facility that will convert seawater into potable water, addressing the increasing demand for clean water in the region.

Scope of Work:

AMTC has been awarded the subcontract for mechanical works, which includes:

– Supply and installation of air-cooled units located at various buildings within the facility.
– Installation of ducted fans and HVAC duct work for effective climate control and air distribution.
– Testing and commissioning of all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with relevant standards.

Objectives:

– Ensure the installation of high-quality mechanical systems that comply with international standards.
– Complete the project within the stipulated timeline while adhering to safety and quality protocols.
– Foster collaboration and communication between all stakeholders involved in the project.

The Sharm El Sheikh Desalination Plant represents a significant step towards sustainable water management in Egypt. We are excited to be part of this transformative project and look forward to contributing to its success through our expertise in mechanical works.
